Description

Eight at the Fort is our signature blend of eight teas, created especially for the historic 1997 dinner at The Fort Restaurant, attended by the Group of Eight world leaders high in the mountains above Denver. You'll find it remains a contemporaneously harmonious blend, with notes from each tea working in agreement.

We're proud to have learned that our family friend and owner of the Fort Restaurant has been inducted into the Colorado Restaurant Hall of Fame with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ingredients

Black tea, oolong tea, white tea.

Details: In June 1997, President Bill Clinton hosted a G8 (Group of Eight) summit in Denver. One of the events was at a friend's restaurant, Arnold's The Fort, which is high above the city. We were commissioned to do a special tea for that event, so we carefully chose eight special teas that would combine together in the hope of a better future.
Dry Leaves: This tea has a variety of colors and textures from eight different teas, ranging from silver to black with specks of green.
Liquor: A medium-brown blend of the eight different teas was merged into this tea.
Aroma: The aroma is mild, as all eight teas complement each other.
Flavors: The eight teas combine to make a delicious tea that blends muted notes of honey, malt, citrus, stone fruit, and stewed apples.
 Caffeine Level: Caffeinated
Body: Medium-bodied. A combination of full-bodied Assams is offset by the lighter Darjeeling and Formosa Oolong.
Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes
 Brewing Temp: 212º
