Our Review
Few buildings have the history of the Tower of London. First it was a fort. Then it became the royal prison, so there were some unhappy endings here. It has even stored the Crown Jewels. So when we were commissioned by the Historic Royal Palaces to do a tea in honor of it, we took it seriously (who wants to do time there?) The color of the tin is inspired by amethyst.
Dry Leaves The Chinese leaves are medium sized and black.
Liquor The liquor is medium to dark brown.
Aroma A wonderfully refreshing tea with fruity aromas, vanilla, and undertones of honey.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body A medium to strong body.
Flavors This tea is complicated, like the Tower itself. It has flavors similar to Earl Grey, Vanilla and Black Currant. There is also a nice touch of honey.
Brewing Time 4 to 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

Tower of London

Chinese black teas are stirred with pieces of dried stone fruit, then finished with oil of bergamot and honey flavor. This blend is reminiscent of Elizabethan preserves, flavorful and tempting.

Sublime!
Average Review:

I am a big fan of flavored tea, especially fruit teas. I am also a big fan of purple. There was a sale online recently of the HRP teas and after reading the description, of Tower of London, I decided that if I didn't like the tea, I'd still have the lovely purple canister. I LOVE the tea AND the canister!! I've read that people say it has a vanilla flavor to it but honestly, I don't taste vanilla, I just get the fruit and a honey undertone, which together make me feel like I am drinking a modern version of Elizabethan mead. It is smooth and fruity with a honey flavor and I can think of nothing better with raw sugar, a touch of honey and cream. And taking the wonderful purple tin out of my cabinet every time I make a cup is just the cherry on the sundae as far as I'm concerned! I discovered Harney tea less than six months ago and I've already got more than 15 varieties here! Thanks Harney, Tower of London is one of my favorites so far and I highly recommend it!

My intro to Harney
Average Review:

This was one of the first teas from Harney's that we tried. I found it reduced at Williams-Sonoma. Wow,was that a stroke of luck! This became an instant favorite. It just has a great blend of flavor and has not become bitter the next day if we don't finish (this is extremely rare). You won't regret trying this one.

Very happy with this blend
Average Review:

I bought this blend for my birthday tea party and it is the best blend of tea that I've tried (and I've tried numerous blends from different brands). It smells incredible! You can taste the sweetness by just smelling it. I wouldn't mind having my whole house in this wonderful smell. The tea it self was as delicious as the smell, a good balance blend; not too weak and not too strong. Overall, I was VERY happy with this blend.
