Our Review
The Harneys, being of Irish blood, did not offer a Scottish tea until now. Our friends at the American Scottish Foundation asked us to do two teas. Our first attempt was a strong tea. They said it was nice, but please make it a wee bit stronger. A portion of the sales goes to support the charitable endeavors of the ASF.
Dry Leaves A mixture of dark brown leaves, the smaller pieces of Assam and Ceylon and Assam CTC (cut, tear, curl) method make for a stronger tea.
Liquor This is one of our darkest teas, brewing a very dark brown color. Many Scots would lighten it with milk.
Aroma Aroma is not the point of this tea, so there are only hints of suggestions of malt.
Caffeine Level Caffeinated
Body This is the purpose of this tea, and it delivers a very full bodied tea. It is perhaps the strongest tea we offer.
Flavors Strong and simple, this tea is meant to be drunk with milk.
Brewing Time 5 minutes
Brewing Temperature 212° F

Scottish Morn

This is a strong tea, perhaps our strongest tea. When you stand up your spoon in this tea, it might just stand straight.

This is to black tea what an Islay single malt is to scotch

Amazing!

I originally got a sample pack of this tea to try and I liked it from the beginning. I have never added any honey or milk to it, just drank it straight. This tea has successfully gotten my through one finals week and a 12 hour drive through sage-brush country so I could see a friend of mine. Definitely sticking with this for a long time!

Love this tea!

My Gran always had a pot of strong tea on the counter. This tea is so good - and brings back my memories of younger days.

Best strong, brisk tea ever.
