What a wonderful trip! I am confident this will be an absolute joy to go on. I had the pleasure of visiting Japan when I was in high school in 1996. My language high school had a sister school in Iwate Prefecture, and we co-hosted students ourselves all four years of high school. Being able to visit myself was such a privilege. Recently at The Midwest Tea Fest, we were just speaking on this subject of touring tea plantations, especially Japan, Nepal, and Taiwan.

I’ve always wanted to visit Japan, avoiding Tokyo and spending much time in Kyoto and Hokkaido. I’ll follow your blog with interest!

After settling in the area, she became a tea packer at Harney & Sons where she worked closely with Michael Harney to learn the art of tea blending and purchasing. She joined our team as a tea purchaser shortly after and has been an integral part of our tea testing and blending process ever since.
