Stanley Mason was a third-generation English tea taster in Salisbury who helped John with his early understanding of fine tea. Later, he connected with Norwood Pratt, who was another authority on tea. He always credited the support of our family, especially our sons Michael and Paul, for giving him the freedom to begin a whole new career at age fifty.
